Marek Chrabąszcz has been coaching in Brzeg Dolny since 1997, and working in table tennis since 1989. A master-class coach, he has trained players who together have won over 200 medals at the Polish and Lower Silesian Championships (35 gold, silver and bronze medals at the Polish Championships and 171 medals at the Lower Silesian Championships). Co-founder of a sports-profile class specializing in table tennis in Brzeg Dolny, whose students were named the best school in Poland in the discipline four years running.
The "Nad stołem" app is a modern, forward-looking tool that supports planning and organizing the training process in table tennis. Even though it's still in active development, it already offers functionality that can meaningfully improve the work of coaches and those responsible for training players.
Training planning system and periodization
The comprehensive training-planning system stands out in particular — it lets you build organized training sessions and long-term training plans. Thanks to the split into sessions, plans and preparation phases, the app supports running the training process according to periodization principles, making it easier to track progress toward set goals.
Visual table editor and exercise library
A major strength is the visual table editor together with the exercise library, which let you design training drills clearly and show player positioning and how each exercise unfolds. This makes the resulting documentation easier to read and improves communication between coach and players.
Group and schedule management
The app also offers group management features, schedule creation, and the ability to export plans and documentation. These functions make it easier to organize work both at sports clubs and during training camps or competition preparation.
Assessment and growth potential
Despite being at an early stage of development, the app presents a coherent concept and addresses real needs of table tennis coaches. The interface is intuitive, and the design choices show a good understanding of the training process on the author's part. With further development and expanded functionality, the tool has the potential to become a comprehensive system for planning, documenting and analyzing training at various levels of athletic development.
"The app is a promising project that can already find practical use in coaches' day-to-day work. Further feature development, informed by user feedback, should turn it into one of the most comprehensive tools for managing the training process in table tennis."
